Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 28: GDC Dudu Basantgarh celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November 2023, with active participation from the principal, staff, and students of the college. The event aimed to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. A pledge was taken by the attendees to reaffirm their faith in the Constitution of India. Prof. Nisar Ahmad elucidated the significance of the Indian Constitution, detailing its adoption on 26th November and highlighting its salient features. The students were provided with insights into the historical context and the principles that form the foundation of the Constitution. Prof. Anirudh Sharma, the principal of the college, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of the Constitution. He enlightened the students about Dr. B.R Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, and his meticulous efforts to ensure the representation of aspirations from all sections of society. The Indian Constitution, being the lengthiest document, outlines the rights and duties of all citizens, reflecting the diverse values of the nation. Prof. Sharma advised students to uphold these constitutional values in the future. Several faculty members, including Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad, Prof. Mehraj, Prof. Zahoor, Prof. Tariq Ahmad, and Prof. Iqbal, were present on the occasion. Prof. Pradeep Kumar delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the active participation and highlighting the importance of continuing to educate and promote constitutional values among the youth. |
