DDC reviews progress under JJM, Capex, BADP & SSY at Baramulla | | | Early Times Report BARAMULLA, Dec 13: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar convened a meeting here to review the progress/ achievements of Jal Shakti department in providing drinking water to households and Panchayats across the district under Jal Jeevan Mission. At the outset, Executive Engineer PHE Baramulla gave a detailed presentation and highlighted the major achievements of the PHE sector along with implementation of drinking water schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission. The DDC was informed that 81% works have been completed in the district so far with regard to providing drinking water to households and Panchayats under the Centrally Sponsored flagship programme. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sehrish directed the officials to issue 'Har Ghar Jal' certificates to Pani Simitis in those villages/areas that have been saturated. The DDC further directed the officers to collaborate closely to resolve any existing bottlenecks, aiming for the ambitious goal of achieving 100% saturation as outlined by the JJM. Dr Sehrish also instructed the Executive Engineers responsible for Groundwater and Electromechanical projects in the north to meet their deadlines promptly. Additionally, the DDC conducted a thorough review of both the physical and financial progress made by various departments under District Capex Budget, Area Development Fund, BADP, and SSY and took a detailed appraisal from the concerned officers. The DDC directed the concerned officers to achieve the targets set under the developmental plans for the financial year 2023-24 within the stipulated time frame. Chief Planning Officer, Javaid Ahmad; Assistant Director Planning, Mohammad Maqbool Lone; Superintending Engineer JSD, Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers and other concerned officers were present in the meeting. |
