Training on adolescence education programme held | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Dec 16: In a collaborative effort between the Directorate of School Education Jammu and the Jammu Kashmir Aids Control Society (JKACS), a one-day Refresher Training under the Adolescence Education Programme (AEP) took place at the Chief Education Office in Udhampur. This event, supervised by Chief Education Officer Smt. Geetu Bangotra, aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of 100 participants, including Lecturers, Masters, and Teachers from fifty Higher Secondary Schools across all eleven Zones. The Worthy Chief Education Officer inaugurated the training program, addressing participants on the importance of imparting various life skills to adolescent students. She encouraged the implementation of learned skills through the House system in schools to benefit adolescence students through orientation sessions. Resource persons, Renu Kotwal, Suman Sharma, and D. Vinod Bhardwaj, conducted the training with well-planned presentations using audio-visual aids, with a special focus on mental health and sexual abuse awareness. Pre-tests and post-tests were distributed to evaluate participants' knowledge and sensitivity on the discussed issues.
