Yogi, met with Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner K.K. Sidha today in Jammu, bringing to the forefront the pressing issues faced by the community in their three-decade-long exile. The leaders underscored various challenges, ranging from rising unemployment among educated KP migrant youth to the need for increased residential quarters in Jammu due to population growth. During the meeting, KP leaders M.K. Yogi, Vinod Pandita, Ashwani Bhat, and Vishal Jotshi presented a comprehensive overview of the genuine problems confronting the community. The key points highlighted included the urgent need for enhanced monthly cash assistance, resolution of issues related to PM packages employees, and improvements in infrastructure in migrant camps such as Jagti township. The leaders specifically called for the macadamization of main roads and lanes in Jagti, the upgrading of the Jagti Playground with adequate infrastructure for outdoor games, and the formulation of a time-bound return and rehabilitation policy for migrants in the valley.
