| BMS demands reconstitutin of Labour Welfare Boards | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 18: A deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu Kashmir lead by Harbans Coudhary working President State BMS, Ashok Choudhary and Sachin Bali were also present in the deligation met with the worthy Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment Jammu Kashmir Rehana Batual IAS at his office chamber civil scrtriat Jammu and apprised him about the labour issues pertaining to private sector it was also brought in to the notice of worthy secetary that there is huge voilation of contract labour system in Jammu Kashmir as 12 hour mandatory duties are being taken in the factories but no over time under law is given neither wage slip or identity card are given by the so called labour contractors and same is the position of un organised sector workers as board was constituted in 2016 but as on date no any statuary meeting was called nor any welfare measure has been extended to these workers and whereas there are labour welfare Boards under Contract Labour Act and Unorganised sector workers welfare Board but these boards are laying dfunts from the years togather. The worthy Commissioner secretary listend the issues seriously and assured that she will revive these boards very soon and take all other steps for the welfare of poor workers |
