25 Jodhamal Students to participate in National Matsogi-Do Championship

JAMMU, Dec 19: It is a proud moment that 25 students from Jodhamal Public School, Jammu bagged medals in the recently concluded 20th State Level Matsogi-do Competition and have been selected to represent J&K in the National Matsogi-Do Championship. In the 20th State Level Matsogi-Do Competition, a staggering total of 835 participants, representing 20 schools and 10 clubs from various districts, showcased their prowess in rare martial art, creating an atmosphere charged with competitive spirit and sportsmanship. The chief guest for the event was Ramnish Gupta, SSP. Tarnjeet Singh presided over the function.
Out of the 35 participants from Jodhamal, 25 bagged medals in various categories and made it the 18th National Matsogi-Do Competition, scheduled to take place on 28th Dec to 31st Dec Kurukshetra, Haryana where more than 800 athletes will participate.
The glorious Matsogi-Do stars from Jodhamal include: Six Gold Medallists: Evyansh Bawa, Class 5A, Eklavya Raina, Class 5E, Saiansh Bhatt, Class 6F, Mohd Aleem, Class 9E, Sayed Noor, Class 6F, Gurleen Kour, Class 8B; Eight Silver Medallists: Mohd Zaviyer, Class 2, Karmanye Vivek Sharma, Class 4B, Abdur Rahim, Class 5A, Advik Sharma, Class 5B, Aarna Gupta, Class 4C, Evelyn Kour, Class 5D, Jap Ajooni, Class 8B, Gurasees Kour, Class 9C; Eleven Bronze Medallists: Aaryav Jain, Class 4F, Usman Ali, Class 5A, Shiven Singh, Class 5D, Vinayak Singh, Class 5E, Sameer Rahi, Class 8D, Kashin Gupta, Class 10F, Yashodhara, Class 5A, Aleena Sameer, Class 5B, Kour Jazzilina, Class 6B, Nirosha Chopra, Class 6D, and Anvi Sachdeva, Class 7E. The School Matsogi-Do Team was trained under the guidance of their coach Vishal Samrat.
Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee, Arati Kuthiala, Director, Girish Kumar, Principal and Shefali Sanwal, Vice Principal congratulated the Matsogi-Do Team on their stupendous achievement and wished them success in the upcoming National Tournament.
