JAMMU, Dec 20: The Event and Management Club of the P. G. Department of Commerce continued its celebration of 'Viksit Bharat@2047' by organizing a Poster Making Competition on the theme "Viksit Bharat@2047: Voice of the Youth." Following the successful essay writing competition that encouraged participants to share their creative ideas for India's development by its 100th year of Independence, the poster making competition engaged scholars and students of M.Com. The competition aimed to sensitize participants towards the transformation, development, and sustainable growth of India as it approaches its centenary year of Independence in 2047. Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Head of the Department (HoD) of Commerce, greeted and congratulated the participants for their wholehearted participation. She highlighted that the poster making competition provides a platform for expressing creativity while addressing contemporary issues and envisioning the future. Dr. Jyoti emphasized that such events encourage holistic development and civic engagement.
Participants showcased their visions and aspirations for a thriving and developed nation through the medium of art, accompanied by relevant captions and slogans. The posters depicted various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance. Students participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm, presenting their perspectives on the future of India.
All faculty members of the Department served as judges for the competition. Dr. Harleen Kaur, Coordinator of the Event & Management Club, and Dr. Deepti Abrol, Deputy Coordinator of the Event & Management Club, coordinated the entire event, ensuring its smooth execution.
