JAMMU, Dec 20: Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa has welcomed the steps being taken by the J&K Administration led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha against illegal immigrants. Randhawa demanded their immediate deportation, terming them as a great threat to India. "Illgeal immigrants are great threat to Indian's sovereignty and shunting them out of India is a necessary step, which has initiated by the Administration under the direct supervision of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha", Randhawa said. He added that these immigrants including Bangladeshi, Rohingyas, etc had entered our peaceful nation India illegally and strict action should be taken against them.
"These illegal immigrants are anti-national elements as many of them are having criminal records in their own country", Randhawa said, adding that no one should be spared, who tries to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that these illegal immigrants are residing across Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the action taken against them by police under the supervision of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu is a welcome step.
Former Legislator informed that a crusade was launched against these illegal immigrants under the banner "Jammu Bachao Andolan", but by some social and political persons, these illegal immigrants had arranged their Indian identity illegally.
He also demanded action against those who are helping these illegal immigrants in arranging their Indian identity.
"We welcome the police action against these illegal immigrants. All illegal immigrants should be arrested and deported back to their country in the shortest possible time as they are threat to the society and India also", Former Legislator Vikram Randhawa asserted.
