Early Times Report DODA, Dec 20: In a determined effort to curb traffic violations and ensure road safety in Doda, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) launched a massive enforcement drive against traffic violators here under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh. Supervised by ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, and coordinated by MVD staff, a comprehensive operation unfolded across various locations in the district. The MVD team, strategically targeting sensitive areas with rampant traffic violations, executed a thorough crackdown. A total of 356 challans were issued, accompanied by 91 compounds, amounting to a substantial revenue collection of Rs 898,700. This operation aimed not only at penalizing violators but also at sending a strong message about the importance of adherence to traffic regulations. During the operation, the MVD department took decisive steps by cancelling and suspending nine driving licenses. Stringent notices were issued against irregular Registration Certificates (R/C) and Driver's Licenses (D/L). The team's swift response was evident in their visits to critical areas such as NH 244, Gandoh, Gawari, Thathri, Ghat, Bhart Road, Udhyanpur, and Dessa. Challans were issued for various traffic violations, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining road safety standards in the district. |
