Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 25: Bharatiya Yog Sansthan, a leading organization dedicated to promoting yoga, celebrated "Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas" with great fervor and enthusiasm. This annual event, managed exclusively by women Sadhaks, Shikshaks, and Adhikaris, aims to emphasize the crucial role of women in fostering a healthier and happier society through the practice of yoga. The celebration took place at the sprawling lawns of the ashram in Gole Gujral, Jammu, where more than 500 women Yog Sadhaks gathered for the occasion. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of lamps, followed by the enchanting Saraswati Vandana. Dr. Archana Choudary, wife of A. K. Choudary, Spl DGP Crime Branch J&K, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In her address, she highlighted Prime Minister's vision for "Fit@India" and emphasized the transformative power of yoga in achieving this vision. Dr. Choudary commended the empowering impact of events like Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas on women in society, expressing her belief in yoga's potential to contribute to a disease-free society. Satya Pal, President of the Sansthan, welcomed the Chief Guest and introduced the organization, citing its extensive reach in J&K with 125 Yoga Sadhana Kendras in Jammu, Samba, and Udhampur. These centers, he noted, provide free yoga classes daily, attended by a diverse group of individuals. The event's highlights included a collective yoga session led by women Sadhaks and cultural presentations showcasing the talents of the participants. Smt. Mohani Sharma, Prantiya Sadas, skillfully conducted the proceedings, contributing to the overall success of "Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas" celebrations. |
