VBSY van spreads mass awareness on Govt Schemes at Chatroo

KISHTWAR, Dec 25: Visit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van today visited Chatroo and in collaboration with the Forest Department, hosted an interactive program to raise awareness about various flagship schemes launched by the Prime Minister of India.
The event featured the maiden visit of the Viksit Bharat IEC Van, which captured the attention of over 600 People and staff members.
The program commenced with a warm welcome to people by DFO Marwah Division Vijay Kumar. He emphasized the significance of people's participation in nation-building and encouraged them to share their ideas on the Viksit Bharat Mission@2047 portal.
In addition to this, DFO Marwah shared valuable information regarding the New NTFP Forest policy for sustainable collection and utilization of Non-Timber forest Products NTFP in J&K. This policy is aimed at ensuring sustainable collection and utilization of Non-Timber Forest Produce (NTFP), including medicinal plants while providing livelihood support to the people residing in and around forests by promoting sustainable extraction, value addition and development of market linkages. He also shared that the local Forest Division has raised lacs of plants in nurseries and distributed thousands of plants among villagers under Green Mission India.
"Plantation drives have been organized at various places of Marwah Forest Division in which thousands of plants have been planted with the active collaboration of locals, PRIs, and Paramilitary forces to promote the greenery in J&K" he added.
Kalah Nath, delivered a motivating speech, urging locals to contribute their best towards the success of the Viksit Bharat mission. The event also featured informative videos displayed on the LED screen of the Viksit Bharat Van, showcasing government policies aimed at transforming Bharat into a developed nation.
A formal vote of thanks was presented by DFO Vijay Kumar who expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Information and CBC for sending the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van to Chatroo.
The program concluded with a collective pledge by all attendees to make Bharat a developed country by 2047.
As part of the event, IEC materials were distributed among the people, which will play a crucial role in raising awareness about government schemes. Additionally, health camps addressed the community's health needs by conducting screenings for diseases such as TB, Sickle Cell, and various non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among the people
