Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 26: On the auspicious occasion of Purnima, Sadhguru Shri Madhuparamhans Ji Maharaj of Sahib Bandagi delivered enlightening sermons during a satsang in Ranjdi, captivating the Sangat with the nectar of his wisdom.
In his discourse, Sadhguru emphasized the profound truth that one can attain spiritual enlightenment even within the Grihastha Ashram, acknowledging both the roles of a householder and a detached individual. He stressed the importance of speaking the truth, considering it a form of penance. Sadhguru highlighted that lies are often used to conceal wrongdoing and serve selfish interests, illustrating the detrimental nature of dishonesty.
Sharing an anecdote, Sadhguru recounted a conversation with a person conflicted about being truthful in his business dealings. The individual expressed concern that honesty might lead to financial losses. In response, Sadhguru advised maintaining honesty and integrity, assuring that there is never a loss in being truthful. He urged individuals to embrace honesty despite the mind's inclination to believe that there is no benefit in truthfulness.
Sadhguru emphasized two essential virtues - truth and compassion. He outlined that following the path of truth is a form of penance in itself. Additionally, he spoke about the significance of compassion, urging people not to harm others through thoughts, words, or actions.
The spiritual leader shared a heartwarming story of a shopkeeper who, following Sadhguru's guidance, chose honesty over deceit in his business. Despite initial challenges, the shopkeeper found success and recognition for his integrity. Sadhguru underscored that in today's world, honesty is highly valued, and when people recognize sincerity, they are drawn to it.
In conclusion, Sadhguru encouraged the Sangat to uphold honesty and compassion even while leading a household life. He reminded them not to feed haram (forbidden) to their children, emphasizing that maintaining complete honesty is a form of penance that brings joy and fulfillment.
