Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 26: The 8th State Speed Ball Championship, a one-day event organized by the Indian Youth Games & Sports Federation in collaboration with J&K Sports Speedball Association, concluded at Crescent Public School (CPS), Janipur. The championship witnessed the participation of about 120 players from 10 schools across different districts, including Jammu Sanskriti School, S.D Tara Puri Public School, Shiksha Niketan School, Dogra Hr. Sec. School, R.M Public School, Crescent Sports Club, DPS Jammu, APS Dhar Road Udhampur, DPS Rajouri, and Rich Harvest School Samba, JSS Kathua. The chief guest for the occasion was Haseeb Ur Rehman, IPS (DIG Railway Jammu), with Kosheen Koul (DSP HQ) and Arshad Choudhary (Chairman CPS) as special guests. Pooja Malhota (Founder Patron JKSBA), Tarun Uppal (Distt. President), and Munish Gupta (Vice President JKSBA) were also present as guests. Pooja Malhotra, Founder Patron of Jammu & Kashmir Sports Speedball Association, extended a warm welcome to all the guests. Refreshments for the players were provided by Rotary Club Jammu Stars. Haseeb Ur Rehman, applauded the efforts of the players and their parents, motivating them through his speech and wishing them the best of luck for upcoming tournaments. Special recognition was given to Sunny Nanda (General Secretary JKSBA) for organizing the tournament. The vote of thanks was delivered by Sunny Nanda, General Secretary of J&K Sports Speedball Association. Madam Vineet Koul hosted the event, and the matches were officiated by various coaches, including Sahil Janjua (Coach Kathua), Sandeep Sharma (Coach Udhampur), Amar Koushal (Coach Rajouri), Vishal, Sahil Kaith (Coach CPS), Jagdeep Janjua (APS Dhar Coach). The winners of the gold medals in the single event category included players from various schools such as CPS, JSS, APS Dhar Road, RMPS, DHSS, and more, showcasing their talent and sportsmanship in the thrilling competition. |
