Early Times Report RAMGARH, Dec 27: Government Degree College, Ramgarh, in collaboration with the District Administration, Samba, organized a one-day orientation program titled "Yuva-Vani" to shed light on business opportunities for the youth under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP). The event, held under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College, aimed to inform students about various schemes and initiatives for promoting self-reliance and self-sufficiency. Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra welcomed the team of resource persons from different departments and commended their efforts to enlighten students about the available schemes. The program saw the participation of members from departments such as agriculture, horticulture, sheep husbandry, and animal husbandry in the Ramgarh block of district Samba. The team highlighted that the goal of the Holistic Agriculture Development Program is to boost agricultural production, reinforce developmental activities, and generate employment in rural areas by empowering the youth. They shared insights into government startup programs, integrated dairy development schemes, Maitri schemes, subsidy schemes, Kisan Credit Cards, and encouraged students to embrace organic farming. Additionally, the team provided practical guidance on preparing organic fertilizers. Following an interactive session, the team assisted more than 25 students in enrolling under various schemes through the Daksh Portal. The large turnout of students demonstrated the keen interest in the orientation program. Several faculty members were present at the event, including Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Dr. Snobar, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Priya Sharma, Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmed, Dr. Paramjeet Kour, Dr. Ekta Rani, Fayaz Ahmed, Sonali Dutta, Akansha, Anil Kumar, Ram Murti, and Sunil Kumar. |
