Early Times Report PULWAMA, Dec 28: In a groundbreaking move to break menstrual taboos and empower lives, J&K Bank, in collaboration with Live for Others - Being Helpful Foundation, proudly announces the successful completion of "Mission R-SAP (Remove Shyness Apply Pads)" in Pulwama, marking the seventh district milestone in their joint initiative. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, J&K Bank, in association with Live for Others Being Helpful Foundation, has set out to distribute 5,00,000 sanitary napkins and conduct 100 awareness seminars across all 20 districts of Jammu & Kashmir. The mission aims to benefit 50,000 people and eliminate the stigma surrounding menstruation in the society. In Pulwama, the mission achieved significant strides, with the distribution of over 25,000 sanitary napkins and the conduct of five impactful awareness lectures, reaching more than 2500 people. Ayesha Farhana, a resource person, played a pivotal role in delivering informative sessions during the seminars. The initiative reached out to both government and private schools in peripheral areas, including Abu Hanifa Memorial School, Syed Abdullah Basrie Model School, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Naira; and Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Pampore. Shah Aamir, Joint Secretary (National Body) of LFO-BHF, expressed excitement about the progress of 'Mission R-SAP' and the positive impact it has had on women's health and hygiene. He emphasized the team's dedication to expanding the initiative to other districts. LFO-BHF extended gratitude to the Director of School Education Jammu, C.E.O Pulwama, Principals of all the schools in Pulwama, and J&K Bank for organizing this impactful activity through their CSR fund, as stated by Urfee, Vice-President, Kashmir Province.
