J&K gymnastics team declared champion of country in national championships

JAMMU, Dec 29: With the outstanding display of skill and determination by the female Gymnasts of the Gymnastics Academy of J&K Sports Council secured an impressive haul of medals, including 4 Gold along with 1 silver and 2 bronze medals in the todaya ladt day of Junior National Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships held at Bangaluru from 26-29 Dec, 2023.
Muskan Rana of J&K emerged as a standout performer, clinching prestigious Best Gymnast title gold for the Union Territory of J&K. She also won Four Gold, One Silver wherein Manya of J&K too won two Gold & one Bronze medals including team event.
The remarkable victory of team comprising of Jagriti Thakur & Vaibhavi Sharma, Muskan & Manya in the finals marked a significant achievement for the J&K Gymnastics team.
In the seniors category J&K Gymnastics team comprising of Himani Gupta, Shivangi, Sneha Dewan & Viomini Dogra too performed well & managed to win Bronze medal in the team championships ahead of Maharashtra & Haryana.
The J&K Gymnastics team's stellar performance was lauded by spectators and officials alike, with praises showered upon all the medalists for their outstanding efforts and commendable performances throughout the tournament.
The entire team showcased exemplary sportsmanship and determination, making their mark in this Jr.national championships. The victories and medals achieved serve as a testament to the relentless hard work and dedication of the J&K Gymnasts & their Sincere Coaches bringing immense pride to the Union Territory.
Er. Kiran Wattal - President Gymnastics Association of J&K Congratulated to all selected Gymnasts & their Coaches & thanked the Secretary Sports Council Ms. Nuzhat Gul for always providing support to the players as creation of world class Gymnastics Academy here has come up with prodicing many Intetnational & National mefalists in Gymnastics.
Wattal who is also vice President of the Gymnastics Federation of India thanked Commisioner YS&S Sarmad Hafiz IAS & the J&K administration under the leadership of Hon'ble LG Sh.Manoj Sinha has achieved the new heights & J&K UT has become the Sports hub in the country.
