| Celebration of National Youth Day at SPPND GDC Samba | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Jan 12: Viksit Bharat Committee of SPPND GDC Samba in collaboration with Department of History from the College has organised a symposium on National Youth Day to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The function was attended by a large number of students along with the staff. On the occasion a number of student participants shared their invaluable insights about the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda that throws light on the fact that how spiritual development ultimately leads to the intellectual development of an individual. While addressing the students Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college enlightened them about the importance of Vivekananda’s philosophy pertaining to education and humanity for the development of an individual as well as of the Nation. She impressed upon the students to follow the teachings of Vivekananda to be successful in their lives.
The function culminated with the distribution of certificates of participation to the students. In addition to this, the live screening of inaugural ceremony of 27th National youth festival January 2024, were also attended by NSS volunteers, students along with faculty members of the college. This festival is the biggest youth event of its kind which is organised by the department of youth affair MoYAS live from Nashik Maharashtra on the occasion of Birth anniversary of swami Vivekanand. Alongside, Lohri celebration function was also organized in the campus that was enthusiastically attended by the Principal, staff members and students. |
