Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 12: Jammu and Kashmir Science and Technology and Innovation Council (JKSTIC), Department Of Science & Technology, UT of J&K has approved funding to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) for the six research projects in various emerging areas. The projects have been granted to Dr. Yathesth Anand, Dr. Mir Irfan Ul Haq, and Dr. Ankush Raina from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Er. Ashish Suri and Dr. Sachin Kumar Gupta from the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Dr. Sanjeev Anand from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Energy Management as the Principal Investigators. The grant, totalling a budget of 39.35 lakhs INR, was announced as part of the JKSTIC scheme for 02 years. The selected projects span various emerging domains, showcasing a strategic alignment with the latest advancements and societal needs. Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, expressed gratitude for the support from JKSTIC, emphasizing the pivotal role such grants play in advancing research capabilities within the university. He highlighted the collaborative nature of the projects, which involve multidisciplinary teams from SMVDU working on innovative solutions. The projects cover a diverse range of emerging areas, including UAVs, Electric Vehicle technology, Nano Tribology, 3D Printing etc. addressing challenges and opportunities on both regional and global scales.
