Seminar on role of youth in nation building held at GLDM GDC Hiranagar

JAMMU, Jan 15: A seminar on Role of Youth in Nation Building was organised at Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Govt. Degree College Hiranagar as a part of the activities held under National Youth Week which commenced from 12th of January. The event was presided over by Dr. Pragya Khanna the Principal of the College.
The Principal in her address said that the youth are often referred to as the backbone of a nation. They possess the dynamism and fresh perspective needed to drive positive change across various sectors. She firmly believes that the College is investing in every possible direction for the empowerment and engagement of the youth as this is the keyto fostering a resilient and progressive society.
A total of 12participants from different semesters participated in the seminar. After the thorough scrutinization by Prof. Bindu Sharma, Head Department of English, Prof. Poonam Kamotra, Head Department of Chemistry, and Dr. Anupama Arora who were adjudicators of the seminar Suhani, Sushil Kumar and Anita were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. The result was announced by Prof. Rajni while Prof. Neeru Sharma, Head Department of Environmental Sciences handled the proceedings of the seminar.
The whole programme was co-ordinated under the guidance of Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Advisor NSS under the patronage of Dr, Pragya Khanna, the Principal of the College. The seminar concluded by presentation of formal vote of thanks by Prof. Madhvi Manohar Lal. The programme was also attended by Dr. Ram Krishan (NSS PO), Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dr. Arun Kumar, Prof. Prof. Rajni Bala, Neeru Sharma, Dr. Bharat Bhushan and Dr. Poonam Sambyal.
