Four days training of investigating officers inaugurated in DPL Udhampur | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Jan 15: In order to impart the investigation skills and techniques among the new investigating officers, Udhampur Police organized a training session held in District Police Lines Udhampur in which 25 Police officials (graduate) are being imparted investigation skills. As a sequel to capacity building these participants shall be attached with IOs for further training in investigation. The programme was inaugurated by SSP Udhampur Sh. Joginder Singh-JKPS. In his key note address, SSP Udhampur stressed the need for professional investigation skills and the significance of such training sessions for enhancing investigation skills. SSP Udhampur said that the workshop is meant to train the officers to ensure swift and effective investigation of crimes. Besides other officers, the event was also attended byAddl. SP Udhampur Sh. Anwaar Ul Haq-JKPS, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur S. Gurmeet Singh, DySP DAR DPL Udhampur Sh. Shahid Nahiem-JKPS. The event is the part of a series of training workshops being conducted by the district police Udhampur. Experts including from the prosecution wing and senior investigating officers of police participated in the training programme as resource persons. Various topics related to the investigation like Seizure Memo, Police,Judicial Remand, Collection of Scientific/Digital Evidence, Scene of Crime, Utilization of services of FSL team on spot etc. are covered during the training session. DySP Hqrs. Udhampur S. Gurmeet Singh was the resource person for the first session. He explained the practical difficulties faced by the Investigating Officer while investigating.Services of retired IOs are also being utilised in this training program. |
