7000 banned drugs tablets recovered in Rajouri, peddler arrested | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Jan 15: Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri arrested a local man recovering a big consignment of banned drugs / tablets from his possession. A team of police headed by Deputy SP Headquarter Rajouri alongwith SHO Rajouri and Incharge Police Post Rajouri city, intercepted the accused in Rajouri town. The accused has been identified as Sheikh Azar (32) son of Rehmatullah resident of ward no 08 Rajouri. A big consignment of banned drugs comprising of 7000 banned tablets (tranadol/ tependadole) were recovered from his possession following which he has been arrested. Police in Rajouri district has arrested dozens of narcotic peddlers in last couple of months as they were found involved in peddling of narcotics and banned drugs with recovery have been made from their possession. Under zero tolerance policy towards drugs abuse, a number of notorious drug peddlers have also been detained under PIT NDPS Act in the district. |
