Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Jan 15: In an unyielding effort to combat the illegal trade of liquor, Kishtwar Police have successfully arrested another notorious bootlegger and confiscated 24 bottles of JK Desi Whiskey, each measuring 750 ml. A police team from PS Kishtwar, under the leadership of SHO Kishtwar Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, made the significant arrest during routine patrolling and naka checking operations. The interception occurred when a vehicle with registration number JK17A-5424 was subjected to scrutiny, revealing 24 bottles of illicit JK Desi Whiskey in the possession of the accused. The apprehended individual is identified as Rahul Kumar, son of Rakesh Kumar, and a resident of Damna Dool, Kishtwar. The seized contraband and the accused have been dealt with according to the law. A case has been registered under FIR No. 15/2024 U/sec. 48(a) Excise Act at PS Kishtwar, and the investigation is actively underway.
