| Police attach property of drug peddler in Kulgam | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Jan 16:
Property of a drug peddler was attached in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir’ on Tuesday, police said. Kulgam district Police attached the under construction house of notorious drug peddler Barkatullah Mir of Buchroo under section 68-F (2) of NDPS Act 1985.
“The property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam police. The property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances by the owner,” police said.
Police said the drug peddler was involved in two cases registered in Kulgam and Yaripora Police Stations of the district .
“This action reaffirms the commitment of Police to combat the drug menace,” police said. |
