High-end workshop at CSIR-IIIM concludes

Jammu, Jan 16:

A seven-day workshop on ‘Latest Trends in Scientific, Medical and Regulatory Writings: Upscaling Skills in Science Communication and Bridging the Gap between Academia And Industry’ organised at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine Jammu concluded here today. The Workshop was sponsored by SERB, under the Accelerate Vigyan Scheme, and focused on encouraging high-end scientific research and preparing scientific documents by connecting links between industry and academia. Giving the details of the workshop, our spokesperson informed that a total of 25 participants were drawn from various academic and scientific institutions of the India.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director CSIR-IIIM, Jammu on Jan. 09, 2024. Over the course of the workshop, a number of sessions were conducted on scientific, medical, and regulatory writing.
The sessions were conducted by the scientific staff of CSIR-IIIM, Jammu, eminent external experts from the industry and other academic institutions including Dr. SG Ramachandra, Chief Research Scientist, IISc Bengaluru, Dr Kanica Kaushal, AP, ILBS, New Delhi, Dr Ravinder S, AVP, Axis Clinical Ltd, Dr Eshita Sharma and Dr Lalit Kanodia AVP, TATA 1MG.
The valedictory session of the workshop was presided by Director CSIR-IIIM who gave an invigorating talk and emphasized that accomplishing novel scientific pursuits require institutional integration. Further, he said that the Institute embarks upon increasing the frequency of these kinds of workshops and conveyed best wishes to the participants for their future endeavors. Later, the participants were awarded with certificates.
Dr. Love Sharma, Scientist and co-ordinator of the workshop expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the event and the participants for the successful conduct of the workshop.
Dr. Mir Mahmood Asrar, Scientist conducted the proceedings of the session and Dr. Kancherla Prasad, Sr. Scientist proposed the formal vote of thanks.
The workshop was organized under the patronage of Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu and co-patronage of Er. Abdul Rahim, Chief Scientist & Head, RMBD&IST.
