Modi took praise worthy developmental initiative: Bhandari | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Jan 19: The member civil society Kishtwar and social activist, Shamsher Singh Bhandari today said that for the first time any Government has taken the initiative for development of hiterti neglected and backward regions of J&K and credit for this goes to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Addressing a meeting of social activists and members of civil society here today Bhandari said the construction of three power projects in Kishtwar district will improve power position in the State and to a great extent J&K will not be dependent on other states for power supply. He said new power projects besides meeting domestic need will also boost economy and create employment avenues for the people. Bhandari said the construction of new roads, highways and tunnels besides linking remote areas in the erstwhile district with road connectivity will change the date of the people in this hilly belt who lived in constant neglect and deprivation for last seven decades. Establishing of Research institute of medicinal plants in Bhadarwah can boost economy and research process. It will improve income of people. Moreover the thrust given by Modi Government to cultivation of Levender will also boost the economy of small and marginal farmers. He said the initiative taken by local MP and Minister in PMO is also praise worthy in this regard. He appealed people to strengthen hands of PM. Bhandari also gave credit to former Minister and BJP general secretary, Sunil Sharma for his initiative in development of far flung areas of Kishtwar district and strengthening party there. He said the political parties who ruled J&K for 70 long years have did nothing for the people of Kishtwar except exploiting them for vote politics. |
