Army holds wreath laying ceremony at Rajouri | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Jan 19: Indian Army on Friday held wreath laying ceremony at Rajouri to offer tributes to Agniveer who lost his life in a mine explosion that took place on Line of Control (LoC) in Kalal forward area of Rajouris' Nowshera sector. This explosion took place on Thursday afternoon in which an army Agniveer lost his life while two army personnel sustained injuries. The mine explosion took place at a forward location of Line of Control (LoC) in Kalal forward area of Nowshera sector of Rajouri district. On Friday, a wreath laying ceremony was organised at Shradhanjali Sthal of 150 Army General Hospital Rajouri. The ceremony was organised with full military honours on Friday where homage was paid to the fallen soldier Agniveer Ajay Kumar. The solemn ceremony was attended by GOC 25 Infantry Division, officers of civil administration including Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri. After the ceremony the mortal remains of the soldier have been sent to his hometown in Ludhiana of Punjab. The Agniveer Ajay Kumar was a resident of village Ramgarh Sardaran of Ludhiana in Punjab with his immediate next of kin is his mother Manjit Kaur. |
