Commissioner/Secretary , H&UDD M urges streamlining of JDA operations

In a crucial meeting held at Vikas Bhawan Rail Head Complex, Jammu, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Housing & Urban Development Department, Ms. Mandeep Kaur, IAS, conducted a comprehensive review of the functioning of the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) on January 19, 2024.
During the meeting, VC JDA Sh. Bhawani Rakwal, JKAS, presented a detailed overview of the JDA’s operations, shedding light on the acute shortage of staff within the organization. The chair, Ms. Mandeep Kaur, advised the JDA to urgently identify the minimum essential staff required, emphasizing key areas such as the Town Planning section, Revenue wing, and Khilafwarzi wing.
Furthermore, Ms. Kaur issued directives to streamline the functioning of various JDA wings that directly interact with the public, aiming to enhance their people-friendliness. Stressing the importance of completing the Master Plan Review exercise in a timely manner, she urged JDA employees to work with the highest standards of dedication, honesty, and transparency expected from public servants.
In addressing ongoing projects, Ms. Kaur directed the timely completion of all projects under JDA’s purview. The meeting was attended by VC JDA Sh. Bhawani Rakwal, JKAS, Ms. Seema Bhasin, Director Finance H&UDD, Sh. Yoginder Katoch, Director Planning H&UDD, Deputy Secretary, H&UDD, ALR HUDD, and other officers from the Jammu Development Authority.
Ms. Mandeep Kaur’s emphasis on efficiency, transparency, and dedication underscores the commitment of the government to ensure the timely completion of major projects and the overall enhancement of JDA operations for the benefit of the public.
