To aware the masses on “PREVENTION OF AIDS ” & promote the traditional rich culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) conducted rehearsal cum workshop and presented its regular 399th Saturday Series musical play “Muskan” in close collaboration with J&K State Aids Control Society , Department of Health and Medical Education, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, Sangam Tru Art Production. The Program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sh.V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, & Among the Guest of Honors present wereJ.K.Raina, Freelancer Producer Director films , Mukesh Singh Media Person J&K, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K Government , Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Health Department J&K Government. Speaking on the occasion chief guest highlighted the importance of the day is to raise the public awareness about AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome). AIDS is a pandemic disease caused due to the infection of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and would take the oath and urge people to not discriminate people living with HIV and behave with them as a normal human beings and also lauding the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan-(NGO) and underlined the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the state to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils through theatre/drama/skits which are still very powerful medium of communication. The programe was commenced with the songs were “Kailyan Kawan Weh laeyie Saneda ja”, “ Jaan Jaan Mada Aids Rog Jaan ” , “ Roko Roko Aids gi roko ” , “HIV vishanu Hai” , “Savdhan Savdhan Ae Manav Jati Savdhan”, “Jano Jano Aids rog Jano, , “Laga Gran Sade setu da mela ”, “Chota Parivar Sukhi Parivar” . The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples. The Short Play Skit / Musical Play, written, produced and directed by Dr.M.L.Dogra (Chairman, BLSKS) highlighted the importance of the day the two main aims i.e. First aim is it urged people to know their infection status through testing and access of treatment and care services. second aim is it urged the governments to promote a ‘Health for All’ agenda for HIV and other health services and also highlighted the components to prevention of Aids , Intensifying and Consolidating Prevention services with a focus on HRG and vulnerable populations , Expanding IEC services for general population and high risk groups with a focus on behavior change and demand generation , Comprehensive Care, Support and Treatment , Strengthening institutional capacities ,Strategic Information Management Systems. J.K.Raina, explained about the Ideally, a health facility should have one Integrated Counseling and Testing centre for all groups of people. However, an ICTC is located in facilities that serve specific categories such as high risk group, pregnant women, STI cases, TB Patients, HIV/ AIDS symptomatic patients. Accordingly, an ICTC is located in the General OPD or Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of a medical college or a district hospital or in a maternity home where the majority of clients can access counseling and testing services. Welcoming the dignitaries Smt.Usha Raina Troupe Leader, STAP also explained aims of the programe. The singers, musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were K.K.Joshi, Rajni Gupta, , Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi ,Naiya Digra, Renu Bala, Rajeev Nath Yogi presented the programe and students ,teachers, youths & general public were present on the occasion . Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program. |
