Ramakrishna Mission holds free health cum blood donation camp

JAMMU, Jan 20: The Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre Jammu successfully organized a one-day free health and blood donation camp at the Mission Hospital in Udheywala Jammu. The camp featured Dr. Ranjit Singh Rathore, a renowned Urologist from Jammu among other specialists.
The health camp provided a comprehensive range of free medical services, including consultations with Urologist, Orthopaedist, Gynaecologist, Dental Surgeons, ENT specialist, Gynaecologist, Ophthalmologist, Allopathy Physician, Ayurveda Physician and Physiotherapist. A total of 192 patients benefited from the expertise of 15 doctors at this camp. Refreshments were also provided for all attendees.
The camp featured a blood donation drive, encouraging individuals to contribute to this noble cause in collaboration with Govt. Medical College Jammu. A total 27 No. of people donated blood. The donors received 2 certificates, books of Swami Vivekananda and refreshments.
In addition to the free consultations, the camp offered check-ups for blood sugar, Hba1c, and blood pressure at no cost. A Full Body Check-up covering 65 parameters, including CBC, LFT, KFT, Lipid profile, BSF, Urine tests, and thyroid function tests (T3, T4, TSH), was available for a nominal fee of Rs. 700, a substantial discount from the usual price of Rs. 1400. The camp also facilitated 60 free blood sugar, HbA1c tests and distributed some medicines free of charge.
This camp was a part of Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre's ongoing commitment to serving the community and providing accessible healthcare services to all.
Distinguished guests included Shri Rajiv Khajuria, President National Development Foundation, Dr. Vijay Sawney of SMGS Hospital, Dr. Deepshikha from Gov. Medical College, Shri Manjit Singh, a social activist graced the event with their presence.
Sri Rajiv Khajuria commended the Centre's efforts in alignment with Swami Vivekananda's vision and urged public support for such humanitarian initiatives.
Swami Yajnadharananda Ji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, highlighted the organization's commitment to the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada, and Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing service to humanity as a form of divine worship. He also announced plans to organize such free camps monthly.
