Kishtwar, Jan 20: In a proactive move to ensure road safety and adherence to traffic rules, Kishtwar Police conducted Operation 3rd Eye, challaning 62 violators under the Motor Vehicle Act for offenses such as rash driving, driving without a helmet, and wrong parking in Kishtwar town.
Under the vigilant leadership of SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, a dedicated team was formed to carry out the traffic challan operation. Utilizing advanced technology, including CCTV surveillance, the team documented violations such as wrong parking, riding without a helmet, and overloading, capturing photographs and conducting videography for evidence.
The identified vehicles were tracked through the number plate reading system, and after ascertaining the residential addresses of the vehicle owners, copies of the traffic challans, along with photographs of the violations, were dispatched to their residences.
