JAMMU, Jan 31: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of GCW Bhagwati Nagar organized a solemn visit to Gurudwara under the guidance of Dr. Meeru Abrol, Principal of the college. The visit served as a tribute to the valiant freedom fighters on the occasion of Martyr's Day, aiming to commemorate and honor the sacrifices made by those who laid down their lives for the cause of independence. Martyr's Day, observed annually on 30th January, holds significance as a day of reflection and remembrance for the sacrifices made by countless individuals in the pursuit of India's freedom. The NSS unit took the initiative to pay homage to these unsung heroes by organizing a visit to Gurudwara Name, a place symbolizing peace and unity.
The event commenced with a heartfelt tribute to the martyrs, as participants observed a moment of silence in memory of those who fearlessly fought for the nation's freedom. The NSS unit emphasized the importance of understanding and acknowledging the sacrifices made by these individuals in shaping the destiny of the nation.
The visit to Gurudwara was a poignant experience, where NSS volunteers had the opportunity to offer prayers and seek blessings for the departed souls. The spiritual ambiance of the Gurudwara added a profound dimension to the event, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude among the participants.
The NSS unit expressed gratitude to Gurudwara for their warm welcome and support in making the event a meaningful tribute to the martyrs. Dr. KamalDeep Singh, a member of the NSS unit, and Prof. Anju Bala, NSS P.O, organized the visit, encouraging everyone to remember and honor the sacrifices of freedom fighters, as their bravery continues to inspire generations.
