DC reviews status of Health, Education Sector Projects in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Feb 2: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat on Friday chaired a crucial meeting to assess the progress of ongoing projects in the health and education sectors within the district.
The Chief Medical Officer provided a comprehensive overview of the health sector projects, detailing 42 ongoing works funded through district Capex, UT Capex, TSP, BADP, NABARD, and UT Capex. The CMO diligently briefed about the physical and financial progress of each project, highlighting the collective effort to enhance healthcare infrastructure.
Shifting focus to the education sector, the meeting revealed that work is underway on a total of 53 projects in elementary and secondary Education, with 15 already completed. Under UT Capex, out of 12 projects, 04 projects are complete.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of educational initiatives in fostering community development and directed officers to prioritize these projects.
In his address, Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat stressed the importance of adhering to set timelines and maintaining high-quality standards in project execution. He directed them to expedite the completion of pending projects to maximize community benefits.
He directed Executive Engineers to mobilize additional resources for timely project completion and ensure efficient resource utilization. He also sought timely identification and resolution of developmental bottlenecks for public interest.
The meeting was attended by the CPO, Mohammad Khurshid, SE PWD (R&B) Devi Dayal, ACD, Vijay Kumar, CMO Dr Rajinder Sharma, EXEN of PWD (R&B) Rajouri Sardar Khan, EXEN of PWD (R&B) Nowshera VK Raina, and EXEN of Rural Engineering Wing (REW) Zahir Khan.
