SBI-RSETI‘s one month Tailoring Course for Women concludes at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Feb 2: The one-month skill development course for Women in Tailoring trade organised by State Bank of India, Rural Self Employment Training Institute Kishtwar (SBI-RSETI) concluded today.
A grand valedictory ceremony, held at SBI-RSETI Kishtwar, marked the culmination of the training program in which 25 candidates, hailing from different blocks of the district, were trained.
The chief guest for the event was Dr. Vinod Kumar, District Nodal Officer (DNO) JKEDI. Besides, LDM Pankaj Badani and Employment Officer Vinod Shant were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the Skill Development course. He elaborated the future prospects that the skill development course offers in employability and entrepreneurship.
Emphasizing the importance of staying abreast of industry trends, he provided guidance on how the newly acquired skills align with the evolving needs of the job market, fostering a sense of preparedness among the participants.
The Employment Officer, DECC Kishtwar, shared valuable information about various government-sponsored schemes like Tejaswini, Avsar, under which financial assistance would be given only to women between the ages of 18 to 35 years, having a qualification of 10th standard or above. He also highlighted the schemes as avenues for further opportunities and support for individuals actively seeking employment.
Director RSETI Vikash Sindhu apprised about the different skill development programs imparted by the SBI-RSETI training institute that act as a nursery for start-ups and helps in the creation of sustainable livelihoods for the unemployed youth of the District.
The valedictory ceremony concluded on a positive note, with candidates expressing gratitude for the valuable skills acquired during the one-month women’s tailor course. Certificates were also distributed to the participants. Director SBI RSETI Kishtwar wished the trainees success.
