The workshop stemmed from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the ECE Department and Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) Pvt. Ltd. in April 2022. As part of this collaboration, MEI provided JUIT with Mitsubishi Factory Automation Student Learning Set-Ups in April 2022, consisting of essential components like Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Inverter, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Servo Motors. In December 2023, MEI extended its support by providing an Industrial Robot Set-Up, enhancing JUIT students' knowledge in the field of Industrial Automation.
The installation and training session for the Robotic Set-Up took place from January 29 to January 30, 2024, under the coordination of Dr. Pardeep Garg and Dr. Salman Raju Talluri, faculty members of the ECE department, guided by Prof. Rajiv Kumar, the Head of the ECE department. Paras Mehta, an expert from Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram, served as the resource person for the training.
