JAKAACL organizes cultural festival at Ramnagar

Ramnagar, Feb 10: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Cultural and Languages organised a folk music dance festival at Higher Secondary School RamNagar in district.Udhampur it is worthwhile to mentioned here that earlier the same kind of festival were also organized at Govt.Degree college ,Ramnagar and Gandh Top during the annual fair wherein more than 20 folk parties of the area showcase the Dogri Culture while performing music and dance in the various forms like, Geetru, Masada, Kud, Haran etc.
Sh. Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL In his welcome address congratulated the students and all the folk parties who had come over there in a huge numbers in making the event successful and memorable.
While welcoming the audience and dignitaries including, Rafeeq Ahmed Zara SDM, Ramnagar, Sardar Manjit Singh SDPO Ramnagar, Principal Degree higher Secondary, Ramnagar and Sohan Singh SHO Ramnagar, Secretary said the aim of the Academy is not only to organized festivals repeatedly for the sake of promotion and dissemination of the Culture only but also to explore and to provide platform to the budding and talented artists of the area and in view of this aim the festival has been organized in Ramnagar.
Besides, BDO, Ramnagar, Sh. Satpal, ZEO Ramnagar, Girdhari Lal Subash Kudyan, president citizen Council Ramnagar and Vinod Kumar former president M.C.R also witnessed the festival. Apart from the dignitaries, students in huge numbers were also presented and enjoyed the whole programme who were invited from the various nearby schools.
Sardar Manjit Singh, Principal Hr.Secondary school also spoke on this occasion while Rishi Kumar presented vote of thanks.
The folk parties who participated including Shakuntla Devi (Kalo Devi) and parties Angreju Ram and party Sh. Praksh and party, Tara Chand and party, Babu Ram and party, Ajay Modi and party, Sanjay Kumar Bhagat and party, Ananya Rajput and party, Rysa Khajuria and party, Roshan lal and party, Rajesh Mathur and party, Radhika Manhas and party. The budding children artists who mesmerized the audience were Abhiyukta, Siara Modi, Aradhya Modi and Master Shivish. Vipan upadhya, the prominent Dogri writer and actor and Bandhna Kumari from Ramnagar jointly anchored the programme very ably and efficiently.
Sham Sunder Gupta and Shradha Devi the private entrepreneur distributed the gifts to all the participants as a token of honor and respect.
