Agencies NEW DELHI, Feb 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through video conferencing, dedicated the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi 68.5 Km long New Rail Line to the nation, a project worth Rs. 889.28 Crore. Additionally, he flagged off the Rohtak-Hansi new train service, marking a significant milestone in enhancing connectivity and accessibility in Haryana. The Rohtak-Meham-Hansi New Rail Line project, sanctioned on a cost-sharing basis with the Haryana State Government contributing 50%, bridges the gap in direct rail connectivity between Rohtak and Hisar, two pivotal towns and agricultural hubs in the state. Previously, these towns were indirectly connected via Bhiwani through the Rohtak - Bhiwani & Bhiwani - Hansi - Hisar Railway line. The dedication ceremony included the unveiling of the new railway line consisting of stations at Dobh Bahali, Mokhra Madina, Meham, Mundahal Kalan, and Garhi, featuring 141 Minor Bridges and 06 Major Bridges. This development significantly benefits Rohtak, Bhiwani, and Hisar Districts of Haryana, facilitating direct access between Rohtak and Hisar while reducing the Rohtak - Hansi distance by almost 20 Km. The inauguration of this new rail line and the commencement of new train services ensure seamless connectivity with the Indian Rail network, enhancing accessibility for residents and fostering industrial and agricultural development in the region. Furthermore, the project is poised to stimulate economic growth by creating job opportunities, promoting tourism, and fostering overall regional development. Prime Minister Modi's initiative underscores the government's commitment to bolstering infrastructure and connectivity, thereby catalyzing socio-economic development and prosperity in Haryana and across the nation. |
