Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 17: SKUAST-Jammu, in collaboration with the Directorate of Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Jammu, recently organized a two-day training program aimed at bolstering the Rural Business Service Hubs (RBSH) as part of Project No. 4 under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The event, held under the esteemed guidance of Prof. B.N Tripathi, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, witnessed enthusiastic participation from various stakeholders, marking a significant stride towards enhancing agricultural marketing in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. More than 20 registered individuals, representing diverse backgrounds such as Farmers' Producer Organizations (FPOs), CEOs of agricultural ventures, entrepreneurs, and other interested parties, actively engaged in the training sessions. Led by Prof. Jyoti Kachroo, Head of AEABM, the participants were enlightened about the significance and functioning of Rural Business Service Hubs, fostering an environment conducive to knowledge exchange and innovation. Ramit Mam, the Company Secretary, provided insights into essential aspects such as registration procedures, licensing, and GST, laying a strong foundation for the participants. The sessions were further enriched by Dr. S.P Singh, Associate Professor, and Dr. Anil Bhat, Assistant Professor, who delivered captivating lectures on RBSH and imparted practical insights into business planning and execution strategies. The training program not only aimed at disseminating knowledge but also fostered a collaborative spirit among the participants, emphasizing the role of RBSH in driving sustainable growth in agricultural marketing. Dr. Anil Bhat, in his opening remarks, underscored the importance of RBSH in Indian society and highlighted their potential in shaping the future endeavors of the participants. During the valedictory session, certificates were distributed to all the participants, acknowledging their active participation and commitment to the program. Dr. S.P Singh, expressing gratitude in his vote of thanks, emphasized the value of the acquired skills and insights in navigating the dynamic landscape of RBSH, thereby contributing to the holistic development of the region.
