GDC Khour NSS Unit embarks on beautification drive | | | Early Times Report KHOUR, Feb 22: In a display of collective effort and community spirit, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Government Degree College Khour orchestrated a vibrant Shramdaan initiative as part of its ongoing 7-day NSS Special winter camp. Led by the dynamic guidance of Prof. (Dr.) T. K Sharma, Principal of the College, and under the meticulous supervision of Prof. Himanshu Khajuria, Programme Officer of the NSS unit, the event aimed to enhance the aesthetic appeal and eco-friendliness of the college campus. On the second day of the camp, approximately 45 dedicated NSS volunteers converged at the NSS Park and various other locations within the College premises. For three hours, they fervently engaged in a beautification drive, infusing the surroundings with vibrant energy and color. Their tasks included painting tree stumps in white hues and adorning stones with a spectrum of colors, thereby uplifting the ambiance of the campus. Expressing his profound appreciation, Principal Prof. (Dr.) T. K Sharma lauded the relentless efforts of the NSS volunteers. He emphasized the pivotal role of such initiatives in fostering a sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation and cleanliness.
