GDC RS Pura holds awareness rally under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

RS PURA, Feb 23: The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College R. S. Pura in collaboration with Viksit Bharat club today organized a awareness programmes on the theme "Drug Abuse and De-addiction" as a part of "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" under the aegis of Viksit Bharat@2047 initiative. The programme initiated under the patronage of principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajni Bhagat. In her message, she told the students that Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign to make our society free from all kinds of harmful addictions like alcohol, tobacco, drugs etc. She also said that this abhiyan is a prime nation building initiative because it focuses on the healthy and disciplined youth. The awareness programme started from the college campus in which the students from all the streans participated and took pledge for making the campus and its surrounding Nasha Mukt. A small rally in which the students displayed posters, self-made slogans and play cards based on the theme of the event was also organised.
Prof. Neelam Kumari, Convenor Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Committee and Red Ribbon ClubClub, in her interactive session with the students asked them to spread the awareness among common masses and also abstain themselves from drug addiction. Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch, HOD Dogri/ Nodal Officer Viksit Bharat also told them that addiction is when you can't stop and when it puts your health in danger. Under this abhiyan you have to make not only your community, family, friends but also yourselves drug free.The other staff members present during the event were Dr. Geetika Goswami, Dr. Meeshu Pandita, Prof Vishal Sharma, Prof. Rajinder Singh and Dr. Rekha Rani.
The principal of the college applauded the efforts of the teams of both the clubs for organizing such kinds of awareness programmes.
