| Reasi police tightens noose on bovine smugglers, 2 accused arrested | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Feb 24: Continuing special drive against the bovine smuggler under *OPERATION DHENU* Reasi police foiled bovine smuggling at Moori Check Post. During checking at Moori, rescued 16 bovines animal from a truck bearing Registration No. JK02DD1889 at Moori Check Post which hit the barricade and tried to run away from spot and was stopped by police party while the driver managed to fled away from the spot taking advantage of darkness. The search of the accused person is initiated.
On this, Case FIR No 60/2024 U/S 188 IPC, 11 1(a) PC Act, 2/3 PDP Act stands registered at P/S Katra, vehicle seized and investigation initiated to unearth the forward and backward linkages. The whole operation is led by ICPP Kakryal and SHO Katra. Mohita Sharma -IPS Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi Police is working on multipronged strategy to deal with bovine smuggler and will leave no stone unturned to curb this menace from the society. |
