KVIB organises district level awareness programme at CFC

REASI, Feb 26: Jammu & Kashmir KVIB Reasi organized District Level Awareness Programme on Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) & Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) Schemes at CFC Pouni Bharkh to aware general public about the benefits of the twin schemes. Ex-Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Saloon, Suraj Parkash was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Field Officer J&K KVIB Reasi, Ajay Kumar enjoined upon the budding entrepreneurs to harvest the opportunities being provided by the government schemes by establishing self employment ventures.
The District Officer KVIB Reasi, Ashwani Kumar informed that in subsidized and technical environment new ventures of manufacturing, service and trading sectors can be opened under Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP). The twin schemes provide financial assistance up to Rs 50 lakh in manufacturing sector and Rs 20 lakh under Service sector to beneficiaries having qualification of 8th pass to establish their self-employment generating units.
The District Officer further elaborated in detail the schemes of KVIB. The officer informed the budding entrepreneurs about the procedure to be adopted to apply for financial assistance under PMEGP, Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme and other modalities required in the process.
The camp was attended by Neelam Rani (Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Kothian, Balbinder Singh Naib Sarpanch Panchyat Halqa Pouni, Babu Ram Panch Panchayat Halqa Kalad, Ashok Kumar Panch Panchyat Halqa Pouni and general public of the area.
