JAMMU, Feb 27: The Institutional Innovation Cell (ICC) of Govt. Girdari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College, Hiranagar, organized an enriching session on personal grooming on February 27, 2024, aimed at nurturing essential life skills among students. Chaired by Principal Dr. Pragya Khanna and convened by Prof. Poonam Kamotra, the session featured an interactive discourse led by Sugandha Wazir, a proficient freelancer working under the PMKVY scheme.
Wazir underscored the significance of personal grooming in fostering presentability and enhancing one's personality. Emphasizing the care and maintenance of appearance, she elucidated on the pivotal role it plays in making individuals more presentable and confident in both personal and professional spheres.
Principal Dr. Pragya Khanna shed light on the fundamental skills required for succeeding in interviews, emphasizing the importance of a professional appearance. Prof. Poonam Kamotra, the Convener of ICC, reiterated the essentiality of personal grooming in fostering self-confidence and professionalism in everyday life.
The workshop, attended by approximately 50 girl students, provided a platform for learning and practicing essential personal care, hygiene, and grooming techniques. Through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations, students were equipped with valuable insights and skills aimed at enhancing their self-image and confidence.
