| GDC Khour organizes winter camp | | |

KHOUR, Feb 29: Valedictory function of the 7 day long winter camp was organized by NSS unit of Government degree College Khour on 29th Feb 2024. In this occasion Prof.(Dr.) T.K Sharma, the most revered Principal of the College was the Chief Guest. The event was witnessed by senior faculty members, teaching staff and NSS volunteers of the College. The whole proceedings were taken over by dedicated and active volunteers who organized the valedictory function on the theme "Promoting Dogra Culture". The event started by the traditional lightening of ceremonial lamp followed by recitation of NSS song. Volunteers namely Bhavana and Mansi recited inspiring and mesmerizing poems on Dogra culture. Other volunteers namely Anju, Ambika, Preeti and Taniya gave vibrant dance performance that was wonderful blend of grace and energy. Diljit and Shagun shared their experiences regarding winter camp. NSS Programme officer, Prof. Himanshu Khajuria shared detailed report of the activities done in 7 day special winter camp in powerpoint presentation. The Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers and encouraged them to render community services in the interest of people which would help them to develop personality, confidence and most importantly to win over glossophobia. Prof. Himanshu Khajuria NSS PO extended his gracious thanks to the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India, Regional Directorate NSS Delhi, Dr. Hema Gandotra, Respected NSS Coordinator, University of Jammu, Prof. (Dr.) T. K Sharma, Principal and NSS volunteers of the College without whom support it was quite difficult to organize and channelize seven day long Winter camp. |
