Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 29: GDC Udhampur showcased their prowess in wrestling by clinching the overall victory at the Inter-collegiate Men's Wrestling Championship, hosted by the University of Jammu on February 27, 2024. The team's outstanding performance was highlighted by Bishal Singh's historic achievement as he secured the gold medal in the 70 Kg weight category. Singh's exceptional display on the mat solidified his status as one of the most promising emerging wrestlers among college athletes. Additionally, several other students from GDC Udhampur exhibited commendable skills, with Atul Raina, Mohammad Sajjad, Jasveer Singh, and Razak Mohammad claiming silver medals in their respective weight categories of 98 Kg, 92 Kg, 57 Kg, and 61 Kg. Professor (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, the Principal of GDC Udhampur, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Bishal Singh and all the medalists for their remarkable achievement in securing the overall championship title. He commended their dedication, sportsmanship, and gallant performance throughout the tournament.
