KHOUR, Mar 2: Government Degree College Khour has emerged as the undisputed champion in both the Inter-Collegiate Judo and Women's Wrestling Championships 2023-24 held at the University of Jammu.
In the Judo Championships, held on 01-03-2024, Government Degree College Khour exhibited exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship, securing an impressive tally of medals. The team secured one gold, three silver, and two bronze medals, showcasing their prowess and commitment to excellence in sports.
Judo Championship Achievements:
Aditika Sharma: Demonstrated exceptional technique and determination, securing the gold medal in a fiercely contested match.
Arti Bhau, Preeti Devi, and Samriti Gouria: Displayed remarkable agility and tactical acumen, capturing silver medals and contributing significantly to the team's success.
Ruchi Devi and Sakshi Devi: Showcased exceptional technique and spirited performances, clinching bronze medals and adding to the college's medal tally.
In the Inter-Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship held on 28-02-2024, Government Degree College Khour continued their winning streak, securing one gold, four silver, and one bronze medal.
Wrestling Championship Achievements:
Samriti Gouria: Clinched the gold medal with outstanding performance.
Manvi Sharma, Poonam Devi, Arti Bhau, and Preeti Devi: Showcased exemplary skills, earning silver medals.
Aditika Sharma: Secured a commendable bronze medal.
Principal Dr. T.K. Sharma expressed immense pride in the achievements of the college's athletes, highlighting the dedication and hard work of both the athletes and their coaches.
