Shiksha Niketan holds farewell ceremony

JAMMU, Mar 3: The ambiance of Shiksha Niketan Jeevan Nagar was filled with a blend of nostalgia and anticipation as the students, staff, and management bid farewell to the outgoing class X students on 3rd March 2024. Organized with fervor and enthusiasm by the students and teachers of class IX, the farewell ceremony served as a poignant tribute to the cherished years spent together.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to esteemed guests, including the Honourable Principal, Sh. Rameshwar Mengi, Dr. Prashant Bakshi (Head of Fruit Science), Shubam Sharma (Senior Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services), and respected trustees and directors from sister concerns. Each dignitary was honored with saplings as a token of appreciation for their presence.
A soulful prayer by the music group set the tone for the ceremony, followed by melodious performances that touched hearts. Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi imparted words of wisdom, urging students to uphold the school motto of "Education for Knowledge, Wisdom, Character, and Courage" as they embark on their future endeavors. Inspiring speeches by Director RMPS Rakshan Mengi, special guest Dr. Prashant Bakshi, and guest of honor Mr. Shubam Sharma provided valuable insights and blessings to the students. Trustee of RMPS Mrs. Rita Mengi also extended her blessings for the upcoming examinations.
The ceremony witnessed the presentation of mementos to outstanding students, including the Best Boy and Best Girl awards, and recognition for 100% Attendance. Manmeet Singh and Madhvi Gupta were honored as the Best Boy and Best Girl, respectively.
The cultural program showcased the diverse talents of class IX students through captivating group dances and soulful singing performances, which were met with resounding applause.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the alma mater, Harish Sharma, the Headmaster, reflected on the journey of growth and learning shared by the students and the school.
In his address, Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi inspired students to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams with determination. The event culminated with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Veena Gupta, in charge of the High Wing, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, marking the emotional close of the memorable ceremony.
