Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: In a significant stride towards bolstering law enforcement's capabilities in tackling offenses against women and children, the prestigious S.K. Police Academy in Udhampur has inaugurated a comprehensive five-day training program. Led by Rajinder Gupta IPS, SSP, the Deputy Director of Training, the program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 16 police officers from diverse regions across Jammu & Kashmir. The inauguration ceremony, graced by the esteemed presence of Shalini Sharma, Member of the Juvenile Justices Board, Jammu, set the tone for a rigorous and insightful training session. Rajinder Gupta emphasized the paramount importance of professional competence among investigators, particularly in addressing the evolving landscape of offenses against women and children, including cybercrime. The course aims to equip officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure successful convictions in cases they handle. Special attention will be paid to relevant laws such as POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act, and others. The training program features esteemed speakers from academia and renowned cyber forensic experts who will deliver lectures, enriching the learning experience for participants. Coordinated by Tilak Raj, Inspector, and ASI Rajinder Singh, both esteemed members of the academy's faculty, the program is poised to raise the bar in law enforcement's response to crimes against vulnerable populations.
