EC advisory on electioneering will ensure fair, ethical LS polls: Raman Suri
3/4/2024 10:21:18 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 4: Appreciating the election campaign advisory issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri today said that such steps initiated well in advance will ensure fair and ethical elections wherein political parties will not use foul or abusive language, will not indulge in mudslinging and, also adhere to the ethics of electioneering to ensure that issue-based campaign is undertaken for the good of society as well as the nation.
Raman Suri also hailed the candidature of Union Minister in PMO Dr Jatinder Singh and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and said that these BJP leaders have done commendable work in their respective constituencies and are most deserving candidates. Seeking public support for the BJP candidates, Raman Suri said, their victory will strengthen Narendra Modi's vision of taking Bharat to new heights.
He said, unlike other political parties which, out of frustration, use foul and abusive language, BJP believes in the politics of ethics. The BJP leaders, candidates or campaigners have always been seeking votes for the development of nation and the weaker sections of the society, irrespective of their caste, creed, region, or religion. It is due to the actual works done by the BJP government and complete fulfilment of the points mentioned in election manifesto, that the party is going to people to seek the third term.
Raman Suri added that adhering to the advice of the ECI and party's moral values, BJP is going to polls with the sole agenda of building a strong and Viksit Bharat. It was because of the BJP government that, for the first time in the history of Bharat, a corruption-free administration was put in place to give justice to the people. Massive infrastructural development coupled with administrative reforms and global acceptance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership are the top few achievements on which people are going to give BJP a third term.
The BJP leader said, based on facts and figures besides BJP government's own achievements during the past ten years, the party is going to polls. He said, unlike past where our worthy Prime Minister was made to listen unethical words by the opposition parties, BJP is going to adhere to the highest standards of electioneering and seek votes based on development and peace, which it has restored in the troubled areas of the country, and on the basis of prosperity, which people are seeing with their own eyes.
He said, ECI's advice to refrain from any deeds, actions, or utterances that may be construed as being repugnant to the honour and dignity of women will be adhered to and no unverified and misleading advertisements will be used besides utmost care will be taken by our campaigners while using social media.
