Jammu Police arrests two peddlers, recovered cash, heroin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 4: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 75 grams of heroin from one accused persons in the jurisdiction of PP Sarwal. A police team of PP Sarwal led by I/C PP Sarwal while on naka duty at Toph morh near petrol pump rounded up a suspect later identified as Vinod Kumar @Kuda S/o Joginder Lal R/o Dogra hall. On search, 48 gms of heroin was recovered from the accused who was coming from best prize towards subash Nagar on a Scooty bearing Registration No. JK02BM3367. In this regard a case FIR u/sec 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered in PS Bakshi Nagar and accused was arrested. During questioning accused confessed that he bought heroin from one person namely Raja Singh S/o Tara Singh R/o Majitha road pind Ganda singh wala Amritsar state Punjab. On this police raided at the suspected place in Jammu and 28 gram heroin & cash 2 lakh 30 thousand rupees Rs (230000) was recovered from the possession of Raja singh. In total, 75 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of accused. Further investigation of the case is going on. Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain. Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
