DC Rajouri reviews preparedness for Lok Sabha Elections

RAJOURI, Mar 5: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat, today presided over an important meeting of Nodal Officers to meticulously review the preparedness ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting served as an important platform to sensitize all Nodal Officers regarding the roles and responsibilities of each officer during the electoral process. During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on various points including MCC, complaints monitoring, communication plan, sms monitoring, MCMC, material management, Manpower Management, EVM and VVPATs , training and SVEEP, printing of ballot papers, transport plan, randomisation of polling parties etc.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat directed the officers to perform their duties with unwavering dedication and a utmost sense of responsibility.
Addressing the officers, Deputy Commissioner emphasized the paramount importance of meticulous planning and flawless execution in ensuring the smooth conduct of the electoral process. He stressed the need for heightened vigilance, transparency, and adherence to electoral guidelines to uphold the sanctity of the democratic process. During the comprehensive review, Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat meticulously outlined the various tasks and duties assigned to the nodal officers, encompassing a wide array of responsibilities ranging from voters registration and polling station management to security arrangements and logistical coordination. He directed the officers to show exemplary commitment and diligence in discharging their duties, recognizing their pivotal role in facilitating free, fair, and peaceful elections.
In conclusion, Deputy Commissioner expressed confidence in the collective resolve and capability of the nodal officers to fulfill their roles effectively, thereby contributing to the successful conduct of the Lok Sabha elections in Rajouri district. He reiterated the unwavering commitment of the district administration to uphold the sanctity of the electoral process and foster an enabling environment for democratic participation.
